What one object/thing would you take if your house were on fire?
This question is usually accompanied by a caveat that the "thing" can't be a person or pet, because obviously we would take the people and animals that we love. No question.
So, if the object is truly an "object," today I'd take my new Franklin Planner. Yesterday, it probably would have been the laptop. Can I take two things?
How often do you call your parents?
Not often enough, unfortunately. I need to remedy that.
If you could teleport to any place in the world right this second, where would you go?
To Switzerland, to see David play tonight.
What are your rituals or traditions for starting off a new year?
Champagne and kisses at midnight; black-eyed peas, leftover champagne, staying home, and hanging the new calendars on New Year's Day.
Who is ringing in the New Year with you? Who do you wish could be with you, but isn't there?
With Bob, of course -- and he's the only one I want to be with! I'm not much for parties, even New Year's parties. I'd rather just be home having a quiet evening with my sweetie.
What was your reaction to the results of the Iowa caucuses?
{yawn}
I just have zero interest in politics. I know I should pay more attention, but .....
What fragrance/cologne do you put on when it's your night out?

I wear the same perfume every day -- Clinique Aromatics Elixir. I've been wearing it for probably 20 years. I used to wear different things occasionally, but now it just feels wrong to wear anything other than Aromatics.

Ringtones: What's yours and how often do you change it?
Submitted by enrico.
When Bob calls, it plays the Charlie Brown Theme. I think it's called "Linus & Lucy." I chose it because Bob played Charlie Brown in a high school play, and I like remembering that.
When someone else calls, it plays David Knopfler's "Genius," a song that he wrote after being inspired by something that I said. I made the ringtone online somewhere. I also have Rufus Wainwright's "My Phone's On Vibrate for You," but I don't use it. Those are the only custom ringtones I have on the new phone. I used to have a lot of them, but lost them when I switched phones, and I haven't replaced them.
The ones I can remember that I used to have: Pink Panther Theme, Tubular Bells, Small World, Addams Family. I like movie and tv theme songs more than popular music. Oh, who am I kidding? I don't recognize any of the popular music! If I chose pop music, it would undoubtedly be out of the "Oldies" list. ;)
I seldom change the ring, except seasonally. This week I'll probably go buy (or make) some Christmas ringtones. I won't change Bob's, though.
